Here’s how the game works

You start with 26 numbered, unopened briefcases. In each case is one of 26 dollar amounts, ranging from a single penny to a million dollars.

At the very beginning, you choose one case (your lucky number?) to hold onto for the duration of the game.

From there, you proceed through several rounds of selecting cases, picking six, then five, and so on, to eliminate them from the game.

In between each round, the mysterious banker will make you a cash offer that you can take and end the game or refuse and keep opening cases.

Deal or No Deal: When Should You Take the Deal?

The luckier you are when it comes to only eliminating small dollar amounts and keeping the high-dollar cases on the field, the better your offers from the banker will be after each round. This is when you have to put on your business mogul hat and make a crucial decision—are they trying to rip you off, or should you take the money and run?
